Fenton International uses selected AI-assisted tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to support research, synthesis, document review and issue-spotting across complex multi-jurisdiction positions. These tools are used within a senior-review model. 

AI supports the senior adviser. It does not replace professional judgement or determine client advice.

Technology independence

Large firms typically standardise on a single technology platform. That platform is selected centrally, approved through a procurement process, and deployed across every client and every engagement. Individual practitioners cannot choose a different tool, even when a better one exists for a specific task or client. 

The approval process can take along time. By the time a tool is approved, it may no longer be the best available. Experienced practitioners who know exactly which tool would serve the client best are prevented from using it by rigid internal governance, process and policy. 

Fenton International independence applies to technology in the same way it applies to specialists.

Every tool is selected on merit for the job it needs to do. If a better tool emerges, it is adopted promptly — not after a lengthy procurement process. The senior adviser chooses the technology that serves the client, not the technology that was approved or developed years ago. 

What our technology does

Replace senior and professional judgement or legal, tax or regulatory review. Remove the need for specialist jurisdictional expertise and experience.

We provide a secure, accessible environment where documents, communications and advice are held in one place — available when the client needs them, including via mobile. Advice is available in any language.

Where clients have already done their own research — including with their own AI tools — we work with that, not against it.
